Mr. Manoj K Chakravarti, after passing out from Scindia School Gwalior, read Economics at St. Stephen's College, Delhi and finished his post-graduation from St Stephen’s, attending the Delhi School of Economics, under distinguished professors Amartya Sen, Jagdish Bhagwati, K N Raj and Joan Robinson. Both these institutions are amongst the premier academic institutes in India.

Manoj started his career with India Foils Limited - a pioneering packaging company, then a part of the TI-Reynolds/British Aluminium Group, where he worked for 13 years in the covenanted cadre. Work wise, he then migrated to the Middle-East, to join one of the largest trading organizations there -The Bahwan Group, where again he worked for 13 years, in Muscat, Dubai and Saudi Arabia, in various capacities of senior management, including heading the Seiko and Casio divisions, as a Profit Centre Head, and was a part of the geographical expansion team of The Bahwan Group.

Manoj joined Titan Industries, a part of the well-known Tata Group in August 1996 as General Manager-Retailing, heading the Retailing department and then moved into heading Corporate Affairs and Europe operations in May 2003 and soon became Vice-President, a position he held till his retirement. He was a member of the Titan Management Council- a leadership team and was the Chief Ethics Officer at Titan.  For over 5 years now, Manoj is the Chief Operations Officer at the Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship-Indian Institute of Management Bangalore- India’s leading B-School. He is also the Chief Strategy Officer and Advisor with “Green Evangelist”, a think-tank obsessed with Sustainability, CsR and inclusive growth as a strategy for Market leadership. He is also a privileged member of the Board at Fourth Wave Foundation- an organization enabling the disabled, and represents the IIMB Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship, as an alternate Director at the Centre for Responsible Business, New Delhi.

Manoj has widely travelled across the world and his hobbies include playing the piano and bonding with pets. He is Founder-CEO of SuztainInc, an advisory on strategic Sustainability, Governance, Ethics and Responsible Business.
